ADOPTIONS AND LINK ADOPTIONS hold two free informational seminars per year. Our 2008 schedule has not yet been announced. It is a requirement that all CHILDERS couples attend a meeting. This meeting allows couples a chance to meet other couples who have successfully adopted. It is also a chance to hear how the adoption process works in North Carolina and get all your adoption questions answered.

Our placement rate is solid and couples are welcomed. Adoptions is seeking clients that comply with the following:
Couples less than 45 years of age.
Unapologetic practicing Christian couples.
No criminal charges within the past 7 years other
than minor traffic violations. NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE!
Couples married no more than 2 times.
Single Christian applicants.
Couples or singles eager to adopt African American
or biracial infants.
No past drug or alcohol violations.
In general, we are interested in couples who are Christians, well established in their spiritual walk with Christ---couples who lead healthy lifestyles and have embraced the decision to adopt a child through prayer and guidance from our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. If you are visiting this site, you have started a very wonderful journey and made the important decision to build your family through adoption
Most of us are at least familiar with the concept of God's adoption of us when we become Christians. Adoption embodies the biblical theme of the covenant. It is important to see that adoption is more than a legal contract - it is a relationship of promise.
In fact, this distinction can be made of all family relationships. The relationship between God and His people is covenantal, not contractual, and God intends that family relationships mirror his covenantal relationship with us. Calvin wrote, "God's covenant was not made to last only a few days, or for a short time. When he adopted the children of Abraham, He took them under His keeping forever."
The apostle Paul also uses the adoption analogy in his writings several times. Christians are adopted members of God's family, a privilege originally bestowed exclusively on Israel, but through Christ made available to all through faith in him. According to a Roman-Syrian law book written in Paul's era, a man might be able to disown his biological son if he had good reason, but he could never disown his adopted son. The adoption analogy used by Paul was a strong one indeed.

ADOPTIONS IS YOUR FULL SERVICE AGENCY!! We are a North Carolina licensed private adoption agency. We provide adoption services to North Carolina residents. As an experienced professional Social Worker and Psychologist with over 20 years in Children and Family Services, Julia Childers and her staff provide caring concern and expertise for anyone interested in adoption. Our agency offers FULL adoption services. HOME STUDIES----You cannot become involved in the adoption process without a HOME STUDY or a Preplacement Assessment as it may also be called. The HOME STUDY is the legal document required by all 50 states approving a couple or individual to adopt a child (ren). WHAT IS A HOME STUDY? The Home Study is a report that is developed after you complete general paperwork for the agency. There is an interview in our office and then there is an interview in your home. The Home Study contains information regarding your residence, education, age, finances, criminal history, medical history, marital status, family composition, occupation, and general life information. It includes your views and expectations about adoption as well as the age and race of the child (ren) you would like to adopt. WHAT DOCUMENTS SHOULD I GATHER FOR THE STUDY? You will be asked to gather some very basic documents. Copies are fine, you do not need originals. You will need birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce decrees if applicable, criminal background check from your County Law Enforcement Office, Statements of Good Health from your Healthcare provider, financial information, employment information, reference letters, and of course your application for adoption which our agency provides to you. When you have completed the paperwork and gathered your documents, we are a phone call away. We will set your office interview usually within the week. Your Home Study can be in your hands within ten days. We take great pride in our prompt approval process. We "understand" you are excited and anxious to begin your adoption journey! We want you to parent, but most of all, we want your adoption experience to be comforting. We reallize your fears, confusion and your overall anxiety. Live in small safe town in NC. Short drive to beaches, short drive to mountains. They love their 3 dogs, 2 cats, and fish. Very genuine down to earth couple, so easy to talk to. They are DREAMIMG of a baby to rock!
TOM & JUDY - have one adopted son, Luke, Luke is anxiously praying for a lil brother or sister. Tom is a wonderful and caring physician. Judy is a stay home Mom. They live moment from the coast. They are very active in church. They love helping children any way they can. They also have 3 Godchildren. Their neighbors are very close and their neighborhood is safe and waiting for more children. So many opportunities wait here.
CHRIS & MARIA - a young dynamic couple---Chris is in law enforcement and Maria is a social worker. They adore children, after all, Maria works with children and families. She dreams of being at home with a son or daughter. They have a pommie dog just like JULIA's. So many opportunities await a lil one here in their loving home. Very genuine couple!
HANNAH & CHRIS - Chris is a computer programmer and Hannah stays at home praying for a lil one to rock to sleep. They are a young couple open to loving children. They dream of becoming parents. It is their most basic priority right now. They live in a small safe town close to the heart of NC - which is filled with activities and cultural opportunities.......they are a very special couple--just waiting to get that special phone call!
